ICT Support Specialist - Basingstoke - 6 months +

Duties:
  • Provide 1st and 2nd line helpdesk support to all users, where possible resolve issues in timely manner
  • Daily management and response to calls logged in the company helpdesk call logging system
  • Build new PC’s (desktop, CAD and laptop) and deploy according to company standards
  • Provide telephone support to users as and when required
  • Escalate problems to the technical network administration team
  • Manage and support the use of company mobile phones and telephone systems
  • Upgrade /migrate software products /platforms according to company standards
  • Manage patch cabling systems end to end in patch cabinets and desktop areas
  • any other duties and support activities allocated by the ICT team leader or network admin team
 
Essential Skills:
  • Previous experience working in a an IT support / helpdesk role
  • Strong working knowledge of all Microsoft office / desktop products /active directory
  • Working knowledge of MS operating Systems
  • Working knowledge of Cable patching systems
  • Technical understanding of IP telephony, patch panel, LANS and Wifi
  • Good working knowledge of MS Exchange and email systems
  • Proactive with the ability to work unsupervised,
  • Ability to work under pressure
  • Great communication and interpersonal skills
