EniProgetti UK operates a SmartWorking policy allowing personnel to work for up to 12 working days/month from home or a similar secure location and these 12 days can be available even where personnel are on leave for a portion of the month. As such, typically around 60% of time working remotely is available for individuals who wish to take advantage of this.

Role Overview

A Subsea Control Systems engineer is required to support Eni’s worldwide offshore deepwater projects. They will support all the engineering activities related to subsea control systems activities in the different phases of the project, from feasibility to Basic/FEED and along the execution phase for the several new upcoming or ongoing initiatives within Eni group.
Their responsibilities will include, but not be limited to:
 To prepare and complete large EPCI contracts for Offshore Projects for Subsea Control Systems in all the Project phases
(Feasibility & Conceptual Study, Front End Engineering Design, Call for Tender, Engineering, Procurement, Fabrication, Testing, Installation, Commissioning).
 To ensure that the design of Subsea Control Systems meets Project requirements, applicable codes and standards, and engineering best practices while reducing project costs and risks.
 To prepare all the technical documentation (data sheet, functional specifications, preliminary electrical and hydraulic analysis, etc..) related to subsea control systems during the different phases of the Project, such as Conceptual Study, FEED, Tender and Contract package preparation.
 To follow up supplier call for tender & selection (qualifications, clarifications, recommendations, etc.).
 To review and approve FEED, tender and Detailed Engineering performed by Contractors.
 To act as the Company Representative for all activities related to Subsea Control systems.
 To have an extensive awareness of design standards requirements for subsea control systems.
 To correctly apply Company internal standards and HSEQ policies.
 Teamwork and collaboration with other colleagues in the Subsea Systems department, as well as with other disciplines, will be required.

 

Qualifications

 Extensive experience as Subsea Control Systems engineer throughout the various phases of project development (from concept development to execution) and handover to operations.
 Experience in the technical design of Subsea Control Systems from preliminary engineering through detailed design.
 Experience in Umbilicals System and Subsea Chemical Injection System design and operation.
 Experience in Design and Safety Reviews, HAZOP, HAZID’s, Risk Assessment.
 Experience in supervising Contractors and Vendors equipment and deliverables.
 Experience in being able to support Projects onshore and offshore testing– Control System FAT, EFAT, Integration with DCS/ICCS, etc.
 Familiar with the relevant international codes and subsea standards for Subsea Control Systems, in particular API 17F.
 Experience with Offshore assistance during Controls System pre-commissioning activities onboard installation vessel and/or FPSO or Platform.
 Minimum BS Degree in Mechanical Engineering or other related engineering discipline
 Proficient usage of the Office Software (MS Office).
 Basic knowledge of AutoCad.
 Extensive experience in Subsea Control System design, testing and commissioning during project execution would be a major advantage for this position.
