Senior Engineer, Materials & Corrosion (Subsea Specialist)
Basingstoke
Hybrid working, approx 2 day office, 3 days remote
Agency PAYE plus holidays / pension
Requirement expected for at least 6 months
The candidate will be part of the UK Materials & Corrosion team and
will work with the MACO PDL in supporting the review of SURF
deliverables from multiple contractors as part of a competitive
FEED.
The candidate shall have detail design experience in the selection
and testing of materials to ensure their integrity, durability, and
safety in offshore oil and gas production systems (SPS) and Subsea
Umbilicals, Risers, and Flowlines (SURF).
The main responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
· Project discipline management:
Planning of activities and the review of deliverables.
Recording comments within the ASSAI document
management tool
Periodical reporting of progress
· Working with Pipelines, Subsea, Offshore Structures,
supporting the review of the deliverables for:
Material Selection
Welding & NDT
Painting & Coating
Insulation
Chemical Selection (corrosion inhibitors)
· Input into the TBE
Candidate's qualifications, professional experience and skills required for the position
· Relevant Materials & Corrosion Degree.
· Experience with Materials & Corrosion requirements for a
SURF FEED.
· Candidate should have deep knowledge in at least one of the
following areas, and general knowledge in the others, as well
as familiarity with applicable international standards (DNV,
API, ISO, NORSOK, EEMUA, ASME, ASTM, etc):
o Corrosion mechanisms (H2S, CO2, halides, O2, etc).
o Subsea material selection and corrosion control.
o Cathodic protection design.
o Welding & NDT.
o Anticorrosion coatings and insulation systems.
· Experience with dealing with multiple contractors from APAC
area.
· Knowledge of Eni Working Practices, Standards & software
tools (ECE or others, ASSAI document management) would
be an advantage.
