SmartWorking (Hybrid Working)
EniProgetti UK operates a SmartWorking policy allowing personnel
to work for up to 12 working days/month from home or a similar
secure UK location and these 12 days can be available even where
personnel are on leave for a portion of the month. As such, typically
around 60% of time working remotely is available for individuals
who wish to take advantage of this.

Description of Project/Role and Main Responsibilities

A Senior Flexible Pipe Engineer is required to support Eni’s worldwide offshore deepwater projects. They will be part of the Eni Progetti engineering group based in Basingstoke (UK) and will support all the engineering activities related to unbonded flexible pipe activities in the different phases of the project, from feasibility to Basic/FEED and along the execution phase for the several new upcoming or ongoing initiatives within Eni group.
Their responsibilities will include, but not be limited to:
 Prepare all the technical documentation related to unbonded flexible pipes during the different phases of the Project, such as Conceptual Study, FEED, Tender and Contract package preparation.
 Follow-up large EPCI contracts for Offshore Projects for unbonded flexible pipes systems during tender and execution.
 Ensure that the design of unbonded flexible pipes systems meet Project requirements, applicable codes and standards, and engineering best practices.
 Follow up supplier call for tender & selection (qualifications, clarifications, recommendations, etc.).
 Review and approve FEED, tender and Detailed Engineering performed by Contractors.
 Teamwork and collaboration with other colleagues in the Subsea Systems department, as well as with other disciplines.
 Be aware of design standards requirements for unbonded flexible pipes and correct application of Company HSEQ policies.
 Correct application of Company internal standards and HSEQ policies.

Candidate's qualifications, professional experience and skills required for the
position


 Minimum BS Degree in Mechanical Engineering or other related engineering discipline.
 Demonstrable experience with flexible pipes from preliminary engineering through detailed design.
 Proficient usage of the Office Software (MS Office).
 Basic knowledge of AutoCad.
 Knowledge of Mechanical Finite Analysis software (i.e. Ansys, Abaqus, Cosmosworks).
 Knowledge of Dynamic analysis software (i.e. Orcaflex).
 Experience with bonded flexible pipe technology would be an advantage for this position.
 Experience in the technical design of unbonded flexible flowlines & risers and associated ancillaries from preliminary engineering through detailed design, with knowledge of the main topsides, subsea and installation interfaces.
 Experience with Design and Safety Reviews, HAZOP, HAZID’s, Risk assessment.
 Experience in supervising Contractors and Vendors equipment and deliverables.
 Experience in being able to support Projects onshore and offshore testing– FAT, SIT and pre-commissioning/ installation / commissioning activities.
 Familiar with the relevant international codes and subsea standards for Flexible pipes, in particular API 17J, API 17L1, API 17B, and API17K.
