We support flexible working requests and have adopted a hybrid approach for most of our office-based roles. We ask employees to be present in the office at least three days per week.



KEY RESPONSIBILITIES: 
  • This role is focused on the delivery of technical safety across the project life cycle, from feasibility and concept through FEED, detailed design, or supporting Group EPC projects.
  • As a principal technical safety engineer, you must be adaptable and be open to dealing with new technologies for which no current safety standards exist.
  • You will be required to support a range of projects, from giving expert advice to the client interface to the execution of deliverables.
  • Management of hours budget, resource planning and schedule on projects
  • Write, check, and approve clear and concise reports.
  • Ability to share findings with all key stakeholders early and effectively.
  • Communication with clients and senior management
  • Responsible for preparing, reviewing, and checking critical deliverables, including:
  1. Hazard identification and SIL studies
  2. Flare radiation and dispersion studies
  3. Fire explosion hazard assessment (FEHA)
  4. Occupied buildings studies
  5. Temporary refugee integrity assessments
  6. Emergency systems survivability assessments (ESSA)
  7. Escape evacuation rescue assessment report (EERA)
  8. Dropped object studies
  9. QRA reports
  10. Loss prevention deliverables, e.g., ATEX studies, escape route layouts, firewater system design, and fire and gas system design

Essential Qualifications and Skills:
  • Degree in an engineering or cognate discipline, and ideally hold chartered engineer or professional process safety engineer status.
  • Related experience working for engineering and/or client organizations.
  • Experience in the energy transition arena
  • Excellent standard of written and spoken English.
