LNG Production Engineer to work in Basingstoke for up to 12 months

We urgently require a LNG Production Engineer to work in Basingstoke for up to 12 months.

Main objectives of the role
 
  • Review and assess the operability and maintainability of Eni LNG related facilities and assets
  • Monitor day-to-day LNG plants production performance and review daily production reports
  • Monitor day-to-day LNG plants performances and investigate anomalies, issues etc
  • Monitor  LNG assets OPEX and contribute to their optimization
  • Assist and ensure consistent OPEX estimation for new LNG initiatives
  • Support the development of OR&A plans for LNG projects
  • Review scopes of work and specifications for plant upgrades and modifications
  • Review daily turnaround progress reports against plans and assess the potential for improvements/upsets with the production forecast
  • Review new equipment for compliance with industry codes and company standards
  • Review inspection programs for major mechanical and rotating equipment and monitor/analyse the results including, as available, inspection databases to assess equipment condition and make recommendations for future inspection activities
  • Review inspection and test plans for piping and equipment in assigned area(s)
 
Essential skills/experience:
 
  • Knowledge of mechanical and/or instrumental systems related to product measurement
  • Knowledge of plant material balancing, product allocation
  • Graduate with 2 to 5 years’ experience in O&G industry and/or LNG plant operations
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Good working knowledge of English (spoken & written)
 
Desirable skills:
 
  • Knowledge of gas/LNG production process (sweetening, dehydration, compression and liquefaction)
  • Knowledge gas/LNG production systems and plants, with particular reference on rotating equipments and cryogenic systems
  • Knowledge of production planning and forecasting
  • Knowledge on loading/unloading & shipping/marine operations for LNG
 
Preferred Qualification: Degree in chemical/control/mechanical engineering or similar
