Role Overview/Purpose
Experience in Concept, Basic/FEED and Detail Engineering projects for Oil&Gas (on-shore & off-shore).
Technically competent in all aspects of electrical engineering (Power Generation, Distribution, Transmission).
Experience in development of power system studies and specifications (e.g. Load flow, short circuit, transient stability analysis); design of power distribution systems for electrical networks; electrical equipment specifications/datasheets for MCCs, MV and LV switchboards, asynchronous and synchronous generators, soft start units, VSDs, UPS systems, transformers, NER; schematics for switchboards, MCCs, generation systems and auxiliary equipment; substation, switch room and plant layout design; electrical distribution surveys for on-shore HV and LV networks; preparation of requisitions for electrical equipment; appraisal of Vendor bids for electrical equipment.
Fully conversant with IEC standards and “Oil&Gas” standard practices.

Responsibilities
Act as lead engineer on Company projects, studies etc.
Undertake the competent engineering of electrical systems in accordance with specified procedures and plans.
Supervise the activities of design team to complete activities to the required technical standards and project schedule when working as a team.
Coordinate and expedite discipline and multidiscipline interfaces for areas of responsibility.
Prepare man-hour estimates and planning activities for proposal and projects as required.
Assist in development of Company procedures and standards as technology develops.

Qualifications
Degree / Masters of Electrical Engineering. Member of a relevant Institution, Preferred Chartered Eng.

Essential knowledge and experience:
Significant experience of technical and team leadership within a project environment working in the Oil and Gas Industry either as a Contractor or Oil Company Personnel. Experience preferred in Upstream Engineering.

Desirable knowledge and experience:
Experience on design of Floating Units.
Certified for working offshore.
Proficient with ETAP.
Working knowledge of Italian language.
